Dimensions

Diameter = 42-48 µm

Apertures

Pores well-defined (d= 1.8 µm); pores inter-linked by " syncolopoid " thilnnings (Fig. 4), poral_costae absent

Exine

Tectate, tectum foveolate; infratectum columellate, exine thickness: 2 µm

Remark

A eurypalynous genus [see Guinet, Ph. (1969: table: 14)]

The umbrella thorn tree, in plains and dry formations: Albizia amara and Acacia series; gregarious; cultivated in Bellary and elsewhere. Generic description and specific key in Flora of Madras: pp. 299 & 300 (Gamble, J.S., 1967)

South Carnatic, in Madurai, Tinnevelly and South Travancore. Endemic to S. India and Sri Lanka
