What is a "cookie"?

Cookies for audience measurement
In order to adapt the site to the demands of its visitors, we measure the number of visits, the number of pages viewed as well as the activity of visitors on the site and their frequency of return.
We use for our statistics the Matomo software. Matomo respects the "Do not track" option that you can activate in your browser in order to indicate to the sites you visit that you do not wish to be tracked.
Matomo generates a cookie with a unique identifier, whose shelf life is limited to 13 months.
We also collect your IP address in order to determine the country from which you are connecting. This is immediately anonymized. The Inist cannot be traced back to a physical person.
