Three colpora, Colpus : furrow elliptic, colpus apex acute, distance between the adjacent colpal apices 12-14 µm, margo undifferentiated, aperture_membrane psilate; costae_colpi present; Os subcircular to elliptic with curved lateral ends, lolongate, oral_costae present

Exine

Medium_reticulate, tectate, mur ±0.8 µm; lumina <1.5 µm; infratectum columellate, exine thickness: at poles ±2.5 µm; at the mid-point of the intercolpium 1.5-2.0 µm

Remark

A stenopalynous genus. A. excelsa possesses pollen grains of Andrachne subtype belonging to Dicoelia type [Punt, W. (1962)]
