Symmetry and Form

Monad, radial_symmetry, isopolar, 3-colporate; spheroidal to oblate and rarely (5%) elliptic in equatorial_view, circular in polar_view

Dimensions

Polar_Axis = 29-38 µm; Equatorial_Axis = 24-26 µm

Apertures

Three colpora, Colpus: elliptic with an equatorial dilation, colpus apex acute, aperture_membrane scabrate, distance between the adjacent colpal apices ±4.0 µm, margo undifferentiated or very narrow and psilate(?), periapertural thinning present (Fig. 7), costae_colpi present; Os: ellipsoidal with curved lateral apices, lalongate, oral_costae thin

Remark

A stenopalynous genus (Guinet, Ph. 1962 reporting the meshes of E. glaucum much wider than those of E. paniculatum)
