Symmetry and Form

Monad, radial_symmetry, isopolar, 5-6 stephanocolporate, elliptic ( E > P ) in equatorial_view, 5- to 6-lobed in polar_view

Dimensions

Polar_Axis = 35-44 µm; Equatorial_Axis = 35-48 µm

Apertures

Five to six stephanocolpora; Colpus: narrowly elliptic, colpus apex acute, distance between the adjacent colpal apices 12-14 µm, margo psilate, aperture_membrane psilate, costae_colpi thin or absent; Os: oval-shaped with curved lateral ends, lolongate, oral costate absent

Exine

Scabrate, tectate, infratectum columellate, nexine with endocracks (?), exine thickness at the mid-point of the intercolpium 2.5-3.0 µm

Remark

A eurypalynous genus [see Tissot, C., Chikhi, H. & Nayar, T.S. (1994)]
