Description
The manuscript is composed of a text of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 16. It contains an incomplete text of 65 verses attributed to Akattiyar. The manuscript is damaged by rodents and several leaves are broken.
The text, entitled Varma Kaṇāti, concerns the practice of varma. It details ten types of pulses : itakalai, piṅkalai, cuḻimuṉai, cikuvai, purutaṉ, kāntāri, atti, alamputai, caṅkini, kukku, and ten types of vāyu (wind, air) : pirāṇaṉ, viyāṇaṉ, utāṇaṉ, camāṇaṉ, apāṇaṉ, nākaṉ, kūrmaṉ, kirukaraṉ, tevatataṉ and tanañceyaṉ. It describes the 96 constituents of the body (tattukkaḷ), the five elements (putaṅkaḷ), five sense organs, and their functions, and some bones. It describes also ingredients and provides the name of apparatus used to prepare medicines.

இந்த சுவடி 1 முதல் 16 வரை எண் கொண்ட நூலாகும்.அகத்தியரால் எழுதப்பட்ட இந்நூலில் 65 செய்யுள்கள் உள்ளன.இந்நூல் முழுமையாய் இல்லை.பல ஓலைகள் உடைந்த நிலையில் உள்ளன
இது வர்ம முறையை பற்றி விளக்குகிறது.இந்நூல் 96 தத்துவங்கள், பஞ்ச பூதம் விபரம், புலன் ஐந்தின் விபரம், பொறி ஐந்தின் விபரம், தச நாடி (இடகலை, பிங்கலை, சுழுமுனை, சிகுவை, புருடன், காந்தாரி, அத்தி, அலம்புடை, சங்கினி, குகு), தச வாயு (பிராணன், வியானன், உதானன், அபானன், சமானன், நாகன், கூர்மன், கிருகரன், தேவதத்தன், தனஞ்செயன்) எலும்புகளின் விபரம் மற்றும் மருந்து செய்ய பயன்படும் கருவிகளின் பெயர்கள் பற்றியும் கூறுகிறது
Extent and Format of Original Material
Size of the manuscript : 31,5cm x 2,8cm. The palm leaves are numbered from 1 to 16; it is incomplete. The manuscript is damaged by rodents and some leaves are broken.
The manuscript contains 16 palm leaves of 10 to 12 lines per leaf. It has no wooden boards.

The manuscript belonged to Mohana Raj's grandfather, Vēlāyutaṉ vaittiyar (1887/1965), a siddha practitioner who was president of the association ATSVS and taught when the college was founded by the association. He paid copyists to write manuscripts borrowed from siddha practitioners and collected some from his peers.
