Description
The manuscript is composed of a text of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 14 on which 75 verses are written; it is incomplete. The manuscript is partly damaged. The leaves 5, 9 and 12 have been affected by fungus.The first leaf is a salutation to Lord Ganesh, Sarasvatī and to the guru. The text, entitled Akattiar - Āti Cāstiram, is in form of questions-responses; the questions asked by Tēvi Pārvatī are clarified by Civaṉ. A part of the dialogue concerns the origin of the earth. The second topic revolves around the physician and his/her practice : his/her origin, his/her required qualities, information he/she has to collect from the patient, the use of nāṭi, the necessity to establish a diagnosis and prognosis of the disease.

1 முதல் 14 வரை எண் கொண்ட ஓலைகளை உடைய ஒரு நூலைக்கொண்டது இந்த சுவடி அதில் 75 விருத்தங்கள் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன; இது முழுமை இல்லாதது.இந்த சுவடி சிறிதளவு சேதம் அடைந்து உள்ளது.5, 9 மற்றும் 12 ஆகிய ஓலைகள் பூஞ்சையால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு உள்ளன.முதல் செய்யுல் கடவுள் விநாயகர், சரஸ்வதி மற்றும் குருவிற்கு கூறும் கடவுள் வாழ்த்தாகும்.அகத்தியர் - ஆதி சாஸ்திரம் என்ற தலைப்புடைய இந்த நூல் கேள்வி-பதில் வடிவில் உள்ளது; தேவி பார்வதி கேள்வி கேட்பதாகவும் சிவன் அதை தீர்ப்பதாகவும் உள்ளது.உலக தோற்றம், மருத்துவரின் தோற்றம், மருத்துவன் தன்மை, மருத்துவன் அறிய வேண்டிய விபரங்கள், நோய் கணிக்கும் முறை மற்றும் அதன் வகைகள் அறியும் முறை, நாடி நிலை,பிணி தீரும் தீராது என்பன குறித்து விபரமாக கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது
Extent and Format of Original Material
Size of the manuscript : 30cm x 2,8cm. The text, numbered from 1 to 14, is incomplete. The manuscript is partly very damaged. The leaves 5, 9 and 12 were attacked by fungus.
The manuscript contains 18 palm leaves, including a blanck leaf, covered by only a wooden board. There are 14 lines per leaf.

The manuscript belonged to Mohana Raj's grandfather, Vēlāyutaṉ vaittiyar (1887/1965), a siddha practitioner who was president of the association ATSVS and taught when the college was founded by the association. He paid copyists to write manuscripts borrowed from siddha practitioners and collected some from his peers.
