Description
The manuscript contains a text of 95 palm leaves numbered from 1 to 110. Apart two leaves which are broken, the manuscript is in excellent condition. The text, entitled Piramamuṉi Vaittiyam, is written in verses. It deals with preparation of medicines. The name of mentioned formulas are : Mukkūṭṭu tailam, Viṣamuṣṭi tailam and Navāccāra tailam; Mēka rācāṅka eṇṇai and Cutta vallāti eṇṇai; Makāmēka kirutam; Cēṅkoṭṭai vallāti; Caṇṭamāruta kuḻampu and Vilvāti kuḻampu; Kumaṭṭikāy pataṅkam and Paṟaṅkipaṭṭai pataṅkam; Ātātōṭai lēkiyam, Cintāti lēkiyam, Kaṭukāy lēkiyam and Iñci lēkiyam; Nilavākai cūraņam, Civaṉvēmpu cūraņam, Amukarā cūraṇam and Naṟkarantai cūraņam; Amirtāti uṇṭai; Curāṅkica māttirai; Caṇṭamāruta kuṭōri; Ciṅki paṟpam; and Apiraka centūram.
The text informs also on the medical propriety of some medicines such as Kastūri eṇṇei (medicated oil including musk) for treating for urinary tract infections (mēkam), a tailam (medicated oil) against pīṉicam (sinusitis), a kaḷimpu (ointment) for treating ārāta puṇ ( resistant ulcer), as well as on different types of adjuvants for increasing efficiency (aṉupāṉa vakaikaḷ), medicinal oils and snuffings (tailam maṟṟum ākkirāṇam).

இந்த சுவடி 1 முதல் 110 வரை எண் கொண்ட 95 ஓலைகளை கொண்ட நூலாகும்.இது ஒரு முழுமை இல்லா நூலாகும்.இது நல்ல நிலையில் உள்ள ஒரு சுவடியாகும் (இரண்டு ஓலைகள் மட்டும் சேதம் அடைந்து உள்ளன).இது விருத்த நடையில் எழுதப்பட்ட பிரம்ம முனி வைத்தியம் என்னும் நூலாகும்.
இந்நூல் மருந்துகளின் செய்முறைகளை பற்றி கூறுகிறது இந்நூலில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள சில மருந்துகளின் பெயர்கள் : முக்கூட்டு தைலம், விஷமுஷ்டி தைலம், நவாச்சார தைலம், மேக ரசாங்க எண்ணெய், சுத்த வல்லாதி எண்ணெய், மஹா மேக கிருதம், சேங்கொட்டை வல்லாதி, சண்டமாருத குழம்பு, வில்வாதி குழம்பு, குமட்டிக்காய் பதங்கம், பரங்கி பட்டை பதங்கம், ஆடாதோடை லேகியம், சிந்தாதி லேகியம், இஞ்சி லேகியம், கடுக்காய் லேகியம், நிலவாகை சூரணம், சிவன்வேம்பு சூரணம், அமுக்கரா சூரணம், நற்கரந்தை சூரணம், அமிர்தாதி லேகியம், சுராங்கிச மாத்திரை, சண்டமாருத குடோரி, சிங்கி பற்பம் மற்றும் அப்ரக செந்தூரம்

Extent and Format of Original Material
Size of the manuscript : 24,0cm x 3,0cm. The text is numbered in Tamil and Arab from 1 to 110. The manuscript is incomplete but in excellent condition. The palm leaves 4to 9; 50; 51; 93 to 96 and 105 to 107 are missing.
The manuscript contains 95 palm leaves of 14 lines per leaf. It has no wooden boards.

The manuscript belonged to Mohana Raj's grandfather, Vēlāyutaṉ vaittiyar (1887/1965), a siddha practitioner who was president of the association ATSVS and taught when the college was founded by the association. He paid copyists to write manuscripts borrowed from siddha practitioners and collected some from his peers.
