The part relates the wedding of Mirukaṇṭu and Marutuvati, the longing of the couple for conceiving, and their prayers to Ṥiva, requesting to be blessed of a child.

இந்நூல் விருத்த வடிவில் எழுதப்பட்டதாகும்.இது இந்த கதையின் முதல் பகுதியாகும்.9 ஓலைசுவடிகளில் உள்ள ஒரு முழுமை இல்லா நூலாகும்.இதில் ஓலைகள் மிகவும் சேதம் அடைந்து உள்ளதால் எண்கள் சரியாக புலப்படவில்லை.
இந்த பாகம் மிருகண்டு மருத்துவதி திருமணம், குழந்தை பேறு இன்மை, சிவனை குறித்து தவம் செய்தல் வரை உள்ளது
Extent and Format of Original Material
Size of the manuscript : 60.0cm x 3.8cm. The numbering is visible only on the leaves 1 and 19 as the other leaves are partly broken. The manuscript is extremely fragile and breakable.
The manuscript contains 9 palm leaves of 10 to 14 lines per leaf. It has no wooden boards.
