Description
The manuscript is composed of palm leaves whose 6 are numbered from 1 to 6 and 2 have no number. The text, in prose, is a copy of parts of texts written at different periods. The leaves are slightly affected by larvae and those numbered 3, 4 and not numbered have been partly bitten by rodent.
The text describes medicines for facilitating delivery (nōvillā piḷḷai peṟa) and for treating infertility (malaṭu), blindness (kuruṭu) and delirium (caṉṉi tōṣam). It presents varieties of salts (uppu), alkali (kāram) and rice (arici) used to prepare medicine. It informs on the method to diagnose fractures (muṟivukkaḷ).
The text contains some medical notes (maruntu kuṟipu) written by Aṣṭāvatāṉi K. Raṅkasāmi Piḷḷai of Maruṅkāvur, Aṣṭāvatāṉi, Tanjavur district (Aṣṭāvatāṉi is a honoric title meaning that the person is able to do eight things at the same time).

இந்நூலில், நோவில்லா பிள்ளை பெற மருந்து மற்றும் மலடு, குருடு மற்றும் சன்னி தோஷம் போன்ற நோய் நிலைகளுக்கு மருந்து கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.மருந்து செய்முறைகளில் பயன்படும் உப்பு வகை, கார வகை மற்றும் அரிசி வகை பற்றியும் விளக்குகிறது.முறிவுகள் பற்றியும் கூறுகிறது

Extent and Format of Original Material
Size of the manuscript : 25,5cm x 3,4cm. The 8 palm leaves of the text are numbered from 1 to 6 and two, very damaged, have no longer number. The manuscript is in average condition; leaves are more and less affected by larvae and rodents.
The manuscript contains 8 leaves of 12-16 lines each. The manuscript has no wood boards.
