Kāraṇāgama

For general information, see T 0041a. There are 4 extra pages at the beginning, which record the number and the contents of the texts of this part of the bundle. This section of this transcript, namely [part] VI of T 0041 (I.e. 41f in this catalogue), is a sort of āgamavacanasaṅgraha that has here been further subdivided into its constituent source texts, which, for convenience, we have labelled 41f1- 41f9, in this catalogue. Thus 41f1 contains 5 topics on non-consecutive pages that form parts of the kāraṇa[āgama]. Here yāgamaṇḍapalakṣaṇa, kuṇḍalakṣaṇa & śruksruvalakṣaṇa are called paṭala-s while nityānukramaṇisūtra and skandārcana, which seems to be a prayoga, and which is incomplete, are not divided into paṭalas. The topic yāgamaṇḍapalakṣaṇa as found in this text seems to be a compilation the major portion of which (pp. 81-92) forms part of kāraṇapratiṣṭhātantra. Though the śruksruvādilakṣaṇa, as found in the table contents, covers pp. 109 - 123, the topic proper ends on p. 120 itself. pp.121 - 123 contain āgamavacana-s on ācāryas.
