Miscellaneous Notes
Copied from a MS belonging to the Adyar Library, Madras, No. 64795. The total text folios has been divided into 7 bundles for the convenience of handling. The portion of the text i.e. 6th adhyāya 1st pāda 4th āhnika from the sūtra ekaḥpūrvaparayoḥ up to the end of the 6th āhnika is not available in this present manuscript for that, that portion has been copied and added from the manuscript brought from Baroda ḷ, for that added portion page numbers given as - 2295-1 to 2295-91 in bundle IV. A note follows at the end of the transcript as:- transcribed from a MS of Pullaya Viraramasastrigaru, Mungondagraharam, Godavari Dt, in 1916-17, copied by N. Ramachandra Bhatt from the transcript belonging to the GOML, Madras, No. R 2248, 02/06/1941. The portions copied from the transcript of Government Oriental MSS Library, Adhyaya 3 padas 3&4, Adh. 4 complete, Adh. 5 complete, Adh. 6 complete, Adh. 7 complete, Adh. 8 (latter half of the 2nd Anhika of the 1st pāda & 2, 3 &4 padas)

Page - 1, l - 1; śrīḥ mahābhāṣyapradīpodyotanam॥ prathamādhyāyaḥ॥ prathamaḥ pādaḥ॥ prathamāhnikam॥ śrīgurave namaḥ॥ śivayoḥ śāśvataikatvaṃ tanotu śubhasantatim। nidarśayitumadvaitaṃ bhajatāmivasaṅgatam। śrīśeṣavīreśvarapaṇḍitendram śeṣayitaṃ śeṣavaco viśeṣe। sarveṣutantreṣu ca kartṛtulyaṃ vandemahābhāṣyaguruṃ mamāgryam। mahābhāṣyapradīpasya kṛtsnasyodyotanaṃ mayā। kriyate padavākyārtha tātparyasya vivecanāt॥ sarvakāramiti। sarvasvarūpam। sarvopādānamiti yāvat।
