Bhūkailāsamāhātmya (Bhaviṣyottarapurāṇa)

As for the date, a colophon on fol. 83b gives information that Tuesday 22nd Dec. 1904 in the constellation of kṛttikā but as per samikaṇṇu piLLai 22-12-1904 was a Thursday in the constellation of mṛgaśīrṣa. The reverse side of the fly-leaf contains a fragmentof yogaśikhopaniṣadvyākhyā. Fol. 85b gives a copy of an inscription of śankaranayinārkoil. The fols. which follow 85 are numbered 83, 52, 53 and 54 and contain the duplicate copy of the contents of the fols. having the same numbers in the body of the Ms. The Ms. contains 26 chapters of the mahātmya of bhūkailāsa, that is śaṅkaranayinārkoil. The text is in the form of a dialogue between sūta and sages like śaunaka in naimiśāraṇya, it explains how pārvatī (here called Gomatī) sees viṣṇu in śaiva's form (hence śankaranārāyāṇa) in śaṅkaranayinārkoil. This text is told in the colophon to form part of bhaviṣyottarapurāṇa in its uparibhāga which describes the greatness of śivakṣetra. Fol. 85a gives a short text, which according to marginal note, is an inscription copied in the main temple of the śaṅkaranayinārkoil. The inscription gives the full names and titles of the pāṇḍya king Jaṭilavarman Kone(rin)maikoṇṭan and ends by a date (ś. 1465 i.e. 1543 A.D.)
