In this Ms. the date of the Ms. is given such as jaya kṛṣṇapakṣa kārtikamāsa somavāsara. Māhātmya in 20 chapters of putrārjuṇkṣetra, a śaiva place of piligrimage in Tirunelveli Dt. of which the presiding deities are lepanasundara and Gomatyambā. The text which is in the form of a dialogue between Vyāsa and śuka is told in the colophon to form part of the śivapurāṇa; however it is not found in the printed edn. of that purāṇa
