This text is one of the prominent tantra-s of the right hand school (dakṣiṇācāra). This tantra adopts the monistic (advaita) system of the śaiva philosophy. It is in the form of a dialouge between devī and bhairava. The word ' lalita ' occurs in the title prefixed to the word bhairava in this text and IFI.T. 507, while it is left out in the title in the printed edn (KSTS no. 31, 44, 48, 51, 56). The text under notice deals with ācāryabhiṣeka and sādhakābhiṣeka, samayācāra, kālabhedavidhi and dīkṣāvidhi. It does not contain the entire passages in the printed edition. except for the kālabhedavidhi
