The colophon of this text seems ambiguous because it attributes the text to both kāraṇāgama and yājñavalkyasmṛti. There is an extra folio before this text which records few benedictory verses which reads: śuklāmbaradharaṃ viṣṇuṃ śaśivarṇaṃ caturbhujaṃ prasannavadanaṃ dhyāyet sarvavighnopaśāntaye ।

Fol - 1a, l - 1; mṛtsaṃgrahantu prathamaṃ aṃkurantu dvitīyakam । tritīyaṃ ratnavinyāsaṃ turīyaṃ netramokṣaṇam pañcamam biṃbaśuddhiṃ syāt ṣaṣṭhaṃ grāmāt pradakṣaṇam । saptamam jalavāsañcāṣṭamam kautukam bhavet । navamaṃ sūtravinyāsaṃ daśamaṃ maṇḍapārcanam ।
