There are 3 extra folios at the beginning, of which the verso of the first folio records a verse pertaing to dīkṣā, second records the same verse and third records a verse which seems to be pertaining to vāstupūjā. In fact, the pagination of folios is neither continuous nor unique because some folios have been paginated using numeric and some using alphabets. Therefore a continuous and duplicate pagination has been done on the right margin of each folio

Fol - 1a, l - 1; śrīmatskandagurośśivena kathitaḥ prāsādamanto yathā prāṇo methikayā kṣamopariviṣaṃ ceto yadardhābjakaṃ । daṇḍa syāt paratastu śaktiraparo jñeyonmanānte śivo vācya śaktikalāstathā śaśikalāpyevaṃ vivasvatkalāḥ । 1 ।
