'a' side of the title-leaf contains the expressions, gurave namaḥ, nakṣatranik[g]haṇḍ[ṭ]u, saṇmukham, śaṇmukham pustakam, nakṣatranighaṇṭu, hayagrīvāyanamaḥ; fol. 1b contains śloka telling that persons who practise, jyotiṣa, medicine[medication] etc. without proper study of the science concerned, are said to be brahmin-killers and an other śloka enumerating the nakṣatra-s like magha for celebrating marriage, etc. Fol. 11b contains [lagnatyājyam] in Sanskrit and Tamil; fol. 12a, amṛtayoga and maraṇayoga in Sanskrit and Tamil
