The text which deals with the festival of gaurī, is, according to the colophon (fol. 38b), part of the kāraṇāgama. However, it appears to be only a manual based on the kāraṇāgama. There are references to musical time (tāla), dance and musical renderings. This topic gets a general treatment in the aṃśumadāgama (IFI. T.4, 158 and 273) and in the ajita (IFI.T. 495). Tamil expressions are found used in fols. 32a-33b. Fols. 39a-40a contain note on śaktimahābalipīṭha and fol.41a contain a family account
