                                Miscellaneous Notes
It is a manual on the daily routine and rituals of a śaiva. It has 3 chapters, the first deals with the characterstics of ācārya, second with those of 'siṣya and the third with the rituals and rites. In the text under notice the author says that (fol.211a) he is writing this after seeing the samayācārapaddhati of vedajñāna in Tamil and writting this to get the approval of his śiṣya who also bears the same name and who lived at Cidambaram. Important feature of the present work is that for each verse of the text the author quotes the parallel passages and substantiates it from various āgama-s and purāṇa-s, as he states at the beginning that he is condensing the ocean of āgama-s. In the margin of fol. 211a it is written as śaivacamayaneṟi mūlam
