This text deals with briefly with the worship of the liṅga which is made on the spot and disposed of immediately after the worship. According to the colophon this forms part of nāradavākya. Nārada is mentioned in the bṛhan nāradīyapurāṇa in connection with the worship of śiva but this text is not found there

kṛtvā tu vidhinā snānaṃ dehaśuddhiṃ tataḥ param। pādaprakṣālanaṃ kṛtvā ācamya vidhinā budhaḥ। dharmārthakāmamokṣāṇāṃ kāraṇaṃ paramaṃ hitam। sarvapāpakṣayakaraṃ sarvāriṣṭanivāraṇam। sarvasampat pradaṃ caiva kalau sarvārthasādhanam।

akhaṇḍe sthāvare pūjā na pūjāphaladāyinī। atha vaidikaniṣṭhānāṃ kartavyaṃ pārthivārcanam। vedoktenaiva vidhinā sampūrṇaphalasiddhaye। pūrvoktavidhinā sarvaṃ sādhyaṃ karma samāpya ca। iti śrīnāradavākye kṣaṇikaliṅgapūjāvidhipaṭalaḥ।
