The prāsādacandrikā is a work on prāsāda, the mūlamantra: pra means knowledge of śiva, sā denotes the way for attaining mokṣa and da conveys the form of śiva (fol. 35a, śl.2). The text explains how this mantra is to be repeated in order to get mokṣa. Samarasa and viṣuva are stated to be the two ways for repeating this mantra (fol. 35a, śl.6). The former is the bare existence of everything in which all differences disappear (fol. 36b, śl.39). The latter stands for effecting the union between the soul, mind and vital airs (fol. 37b, śl. 58). The text under notice begins with śloka 32, followed by śl. 31 and 33 and by 1, 2 etc. (according to the printed edition CP. 1910). IFI.T. 93 and 536 contain this text. Adyar Des. Cat. Vol. X (pp. 516-517) and its Transcript copy (IFI.T. 93 p. 12) mention Aruṇadeva, pupil of jñānaprakāśaśivācārya, as the compiler of this work
