This text briefly gives the procedure for the giving of the canestick (sceptre?) by the preceptor to the king (his disciple?) on the occasion of his abhiṣeka (coronation). Though the colophon mentions the source of this text as the sahasrāgama this is not found in any of the IFP.T.Mss. of this āgama. IFP.T.4, of the aṃśumadāgama, pp. 364-367, treats thsi topic in a different manner

ataḥ paraṃ pravakṣyāmi makuṭasyābhiṣecanam। āyur ārogyajadam apamṛtyuvināśanam। sarvaśtrukṣayakaraṃ sarvāriṣṭanivāraṇam। kīrtidaṃ vijayaṃ puṇyaṃ parasenāpalāyanam। yasmin deśe purā śambhuḥ rājyatantraṃ karoti ca। tasmin deśe tu nṛpatiḥ kārayed deśikena tu।

dīnāndhakṛpaṇāīnām annavastrādikaṃ dadet। kārāgṛhe ca ye baddhās tān muktanigalān kuru। evaṃ yaḥ kurute martyaḥ akhaṇḍaisvaryam āpnuyāt। rājyārthī rājyam āpnoti putrārthī labhate sutam। kāmyārthī kāmyam āpnoti mokṣārthī mokṇam āpnuyāt। iti sahasrāgame makuṭābhiṣekavetradānavidhipaṭalaḥ।
